The Better Principle on your Floors
We applied our Triangle of Trade-offs to engineer a floor cleaner that does exactly what it promises without turning your home into a chemical hazard zone. Conventional floor cleaners rely on heavy synthetic fragrances and sulphated surfactants that leave a permanent, sticky film on your tiles - a film that your pets walk on and subsequently lick off their paws. We would rather not make the product at all.
Instead, we use natural vinegar to effortlessly cut through dirt and grime, paired with Eucalyptus, Orange, and Lemon essential oils. These oils do not just smell incredible; they offer powerful, natural antiseptic and anti-fungal properties. The result is a genuinely clean, zero-residue floor achieved with only three simple, earth-safe ingredients.
The Facts (Why It Works)
- The Displacement Factor: Our bottles are made entirely from already-recycled PCR plastic. When you're done, the bottle, cap, and label are all fully recyclable.
- Gentle but Tough: Free from harsh ethoxylated ingredients, parabens, and synthetic colourants, making it easy on sensitive skin without sacrificing cleaning power.
- Earth & Animal Approved: 100% biodegradable, greywater safe, and septic tank friendly. Proudly endorsed by Beauty Without Cruelty and The Vegan Society.
- Local Impact: Manufactured right here in South Africa, keeping our carbon footprint as low as possible.
- Zero Sticky Residue: Leaves a brilliant, streak-free finish with absolutely no rinsing required.
- Pet & Family Safe: Free from harsh industrial solvents, meaning it is perfectly safe for crawling babies and pets walking across freshly mopped floors.
- Naturally Antibacterial: Citrus and Eucalyptus essential oils naturally extract ground-in dirt while combatting harmful bacteria.
How to use
Always shake slightly before use. Mix 60ml of floor cleaner with 5 litres of warm water. Mop onto the floor and leave to dry - no rinsing is required. For very dirty floors or for a stronger natural scent, simply use a little more of the cleaner. Note: Because this is a completely natural product, slight inconsistencies in color or natural settling might occur - just give it a quick swirl.
The Complex Bit
Here is the full, unfiltered list of exactly what goes into our bottles.
Water (aqua), vinegar, essential oils (Eucalyptus Globulus, Citrus sinensis, Citrus limon).
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this safe to use on all types of floors? This formula is absolutely brilliant for standard ceramic, porcelain, and sealed tiles, as well as sealed laminates. However, because its incredible cleaning power comes from natural vinegar (which is acidic), we do not recommend using it on unsealed natural stone (like marble, limestone, or travertine), as acidic cleaners can dull porous stone finishes over time.
Do I really not need to rinse the floor afterwards? You really don't! Because we don't use heavy synthetic foaming agents or artificial thickeners, there is no soapy film left behind. The vinegar base evaporates cleanly, leaving your floors streak-free and genuinely clean.
Will this product also polish my floors? Nope, it won't. And there is a very good reason for that. Cleaning is the act of removing grime, while polishing requires leaving a layer of something behind. Conventional "mop and shine" liquids manage to do both by relying on synthetic acrylic polymers and silicones that coat your tiles in a glossy, artificial film (which often gets sticky and traps dirt over time). While genuinely natural polishes do exist - think pure beeswax or carnauba wax - they are dedicated treatments that require proper application and a bit of elbow grease, not a liquid you can just splash into a bucket of warm water. We designed this formula to do one thing perfectly: leave your floors brilliantly clean and completely residue-free.
Why do I need to shake the bottle? Because we refuse to use synthetic homogenisers or chemical binders to artificially glue our formula together. The natural essential oils and cleaning agents can sometimes separate slightly while sitting on the shelf. A quick shake wakes the binding agents right back up.
Why does your packaging sometimes look slightly different? Because we use already-recycled PCR plastic. The colour and texture of recycled materials can vary slightly from batch to batch. We view this inconsistency as a badge of honour—it is physical proof that we are actively displacing virgin plastics rather than prioritising a "perfect" cosmetic look.
