The Better Principle in your Air

We applied our Triangle of Trade-offs to make an air freshener that actually freshens the air, rather than just masking odours with a heavy chemical cloud. Conventional air fresheners rely on pressurised aerosol cans filled with chemical propellants, synthetic fragrances, and phthalates (which are literally designed to make artificial scents stick to your nasal passages and furniture). You simply won't find any of that in our bottles.

Instead, we use a fine-mist pump and rely purely on the therapeutic, natural aromas of botanical essential oils - offering a choice between Grapefruit & Lavender or Ylang Ylang & Bergamot. The result is a beautifully fresh home achieved with simple, earth-safe ingredients that you can actually feel good about breathing in.

      The Facts (Why It Works)

      • The Displacement Factor: Our bottles are made entirely from already-recycled PCR plastic. When you're done, the bottle, cap, and label are all fully recyclable.
      • Aerosol-Free Mist: Our mechanical spray mechanism delivers a fine, lingering mist that lasts for quite some time, without the need for toxic aerosol propellants.
      • Two Natural Profiles: Choose between the bright, uplifting notes of Grapefruit & Lavender or the floral, grounding blend of Ylang Ylang & Bergamot.
      • Breathe Easy: Strictly free from sulphated surfactants, parabens, synthetic colourants, and overpowering synthetic fragrances.
      • Gentle but Tough: Free from harsh ethoxylated ingredients, parabens, and synthetic colourants, making it easy on sensitive skin without sacrificing cleaning power.
      • Earth & Animal Approved: 100% biodegradable, greywater safe, and septic tank friendly. Proudly endorsed by Beauty Without Cruelty and The Vegan Society.
      • Local Impact: Manufactured right here in South Africa, keeping our carbon footprint as low as possible.

      How to use

Always shake slightly before use. Spritz a fine mist into the air as needed to freshen up any room. Note: Because this is a completely natural product, slight inconsistencies in color or natural settling might occur - just give it a quick swirl.

      The Complex Bit

Here is the full, unfiltered list of exactly what goes into our bottles.

Grapefruit & Lavender: Water (aqua), alcohol denat, citrus Paradisi (grapefruit) peel oil, polysorbate 20, benzyl alcohol, lavendula augustifolia (lavender) flower oil, citral, limonene, linalool, dehydroacetic acid.

Ylang Ylang & Bergamot: Water (aqua), alcohol denat, polysorbate 20, benzyl alcohol, citrus bergamia (bergamot) fruit oil, cananga odorata (ylang ylang) flower oil, dehydroacetic acid.

      Frequently Asked Questions

Will the scent last all day like my old air freshener? Let’s be radically honest: no, it won't. And that is by design. Commercial air fresheners use synthetic chemicals called phthalates to artificially "glue" fragrance molecules to the air, your furniture, and your lungs so the smell lingers for days. We use pure, natural essential oils, which naturally dissipate over time. You might have to spritz our freshener a little more often, but the trade-off is that you aren't inhaling synthetic glue.

Why isn't this in a standard aerosol can? Aerosol cans require chemical propellants (like butane or propane) to push the product out, and the mixed-material canisters are notoriously difficult to recycle. We opted for a mechanical fine-mist pump housed in 100% recycled PCR plastic. It gives you a beautiful spray without the environmental headache.

Why do I need to shake the bottle? Because we refuse to use heavy chemical binders to artificially hold our formula together permanently. The natural essential oils and water base can sometimes separate slightly while sitting on the shelf. A quick shake wakes the ingredients right back up.

Why does your packaging sometimes look slightly different? Because we use already-recycled PCR plastic. The colour and texture of recycled materials can vary slightly from batch to batch. We view this inconsistency as a badge of honour—it is physical proof that we are actively displacing virgin plastics rather than prioritising a "perfect" cosmetic look.
